Before the war Wilkes was a member of the South Carolina state legislature

but the plate is undamaged

original tintype of a little boy

the only flaw I see is the light scratch in the bottom-left corner

Dated November, 1872. Turrell was a conductor on the Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railroad.. I have another photo of him available listed separately. CDVs are 4" x 2. 5" and in very good antique condition.
