It will be an incredibly nice end result where the motif more or less disappears into the substrate. You cut out the chosen motif and carefully pull off the paper behind it. Then you gently rub it on the chosen location with a finger or a round object. Then carefully pull off the plastic. If you are making it on a material other than paper, you should clean it first.
