Regarding Ralph Lauren my two pence is that from an aesthetic point of view some of the stuff is perfect ie their classical stuff with a small motif but some of its just way of the mark ie a teddy bear jumper (why), and the quality is a bit hit and miss for instance I hear their knitwear is quite low quality and their polo shirts have ribbed collars instead of shirt collars but not sure what your experiences have been with them
