It was cut in the classic hourglass silhouette of the period with structured shoulders and a nipped waist. Flattering pleating runs from the shoulders across the bust and a large flat waist yolk creates that iconic fitted shape. Below the waist, chevron shaped darting at the centre of the skirt allows the skirt to fall in large pleats and an inverted pleat at the centre
